Thread: TD Bank ipods again?
-

Anyone heard any rumors of TD banks doing the Ipod give away again? They did it two years in a row and I love my shuffle I got last year, but its wearing out and I want to get a new player. I rather wait a month and get it free, then buying a new one.

What exactly was the deal last year? Did you have to open a new account?

You can search the site for more info. But you sign up for them to move a bank account from another bank to TD and you get a free shuffle. If you do this and also apply and get accept for a certain Visa card they gave you a 1gig nano.
I got a shuffle, I use as a USB stick and a music player. You don't need Itunes so you can grab Mp3s from podcasts or other music sites and just dump and go.
I believe they start this in March or April the last two years.

shuffle = bank account
ipod nano = bank account and visa gold travel
nice deal, but had to pay annual fee for the visa. Some people set it up to cancel the Visa so they wouldn't end up paying the whole annual fee of $125.
with dropping prices of shuffle and nano, you may be better off letting this deal pass - unless you were already planning on getting a new account/card.

I pay an annual fee on my cc but its less than 100/yr. If we weren't planning on moving to the usa, I might be game. So is it just the TD bank that does this or are there any other financial institutions that are doing this?

http://www.tdswitch.com/5/ - the free iPod offer can be found here. There is also a chance to win free iTunes - 5 draws a week - not bad
